Sure, words spoken in kindness and in gentle tones may assuage the damage to the ego of an unrequited admirer, but make no mistake: for all the niceties, when the target of those affections finds someone that resonates with them, there will be a void as they go hurrying away to pursue the new shiny person.

So rather than be shown the door by the new bouncer, why not pick yourself up from the floor and find the doorway yourself?
