Advice to a Concubine13. We are not fit to lead a man into bed unless we are familiar with the map of his body--its mountains and forests, its pitfalls and precipices, its marshes and swamps, its dreads and desires.
15. In bed, practice dissimulation, and you will fail. 16. Whether to concentrate or to divide his troops, must be decided before the lube is applied. 17. Let your temerity be that of the wind, your affection enough to fill a vast chasm. 18. In plumbing the depths of his desire be like fire, and sear his undulating flesh with your brand. 19. Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you are ready, fasten on him like a hot, wet glove. 23. The Book of Intimacy says:
In the darkness of the bedroom, the spoken word does not carry far enough: hence the institution of locking gazes and transferring heat. Nor can ordinary feelings be expressed clearly enough: hence the institution of sighs and screams. 24. Gazes and heat, sighs and screams, are means whereby the ears and eyes of the man may be focused on one particular point--your shared experience. 25. The lovers thus forming a single united body, it is impossible either for the one to advance alone, or for the other to retreat alone.
This is the art of handling large masses of men--or, masses of large men.
